Expect a FULL DAY of trails and difficult overland travel. These trails have NO LEGAL GO AROUNDS and will have minimum requirements based on the ledge obstacles (Black Trail Rating) that we are required to navigate throughout the whole trip.
32 inch tires AND front AND rear lockers AND a winch

33 inch tires and one locker and a winch MINIMUM.

35 inch tires and a locker or a winch
These requirements will keep our group moving throughout the day. Remember, this ride is not about making any one obstacle, it's about making the WHOLE TRAIL. We will strictly enforce a three strike rule at obstacles to keep the whole group moving.
Don't forget cameras, food for the trip, non-alcoholic beverages for the trails, proper attire for the weather, protection from bugs and ticks and/or other seasonal concerns.

Massachusetts OHV Registrations:
Massachusetts laws, Chapter 90b, require vehicles operated for recreation off-road or on unimproved roads, on public and private property, to be registered as an ATV through the Massachusetts Environmental Police Bureau of Registrations.
Mohawk 4x4 Adventures does not require members to have this completed to participate at this time, but we do highly recommend it. You may be subject to tickets by law enforcement without it and could be ticketed. This is your responsibility to be legal when off-roading in Massachusetts.
Registration is easy to complete by mail, as long as your rig meets the club’s requirement of a valid street registration in your home state. Some registrations require an exemption of sales tax form is submitted along with your vehicle registration. This just proves that you have paid sales tax if it was required and the vehicle is not stolen. Our club does require proper registration in your state, so it should be a straightforward process for members to register 4WD vehicles used in the club.
You receive two decals for your vehicle with your registration number, one expiration date, and a card you must carry with you that is your permit.
